“The purpose of this story is to provide insight to the offspring and families of Rufus Calvin Horner. He was my great grand father whom I never met. He was highly regarded as an outstanding person in the community, servant of God and led by example. He was an ordained minister and leader in the community.” It is not intended to be simply a rendition of genealogy, but rather more about the people involved, the lives they lead, how they made an impact on other people, and life in general.  Said another way, it’s about the stories along the way.
